Balance was a major component in these photos. I think that symmetry in a photo can be benficial if you are looking for one focal point. In the bottom slide photo, one's eyes are guided by the slide to the teddy bear at the top. In the other pictures where there are the swing sets and the baseball, i put that there so the focus is the teddy bear first but also the notion of other children's toys with the baseball. It balances out the pictures focus.
